About

_mg_0598Hi, I’m Megan. I created this blog as a place for me to share the things I enjoy in life; everything from my travel adventures to recipes I like, to fashion and DIYs, to faith and fitness. I love to explore the world, try new things, and have as much fun as possible. I am always searching for new ideas and looking for inspiration, so I wanted to create a space where I can share what I see, do, and learn to hopefully inspire others as well.

A little about me:

– I am a recent college grad from New England living near DC and working as a personal trainer. I love fitness and helping others find the joy in being active and living healthy lifestyles. Since fitness is what I do for a living, you will see lots of workout ideas and posts that will hopefully provide helpful plans and tips.

-I love sports! I grew up doing everything from soccer to gymnastics, but lacrosse was the sport I latched on to and played through college. I am also a big Red Sox fan since I am from NE and lived near Boston for many years, but I will root passionately for any New England team.

– I believe healthy eating is important, but I am an “everything in moderation” type of girl. I love food wayyy too much to deprive myself of all the delicious treats out there that are slightly less than healthy. Instead of cutting out all junk food, I try to limit the amount I consume and eat a well balanced diet consisting of lots of healthy, whole foods. I also am not big on diets or cleanses because I think it is important to eat well and take care of your body all the time, and if you do that you shouldn’t need to detox or cut calories now and then.

-Speaking of food, I love to cook, but as a young professional I often have limited time to plan and make meals (or just not the energy to do so after a long day of work). Therefore, I am big on healthy, tasty meals that are easy to prepare and take very little time to cook. Most of the recipes I share will be meals that can be made quickly and do not require a lot of ingredients.

-I love to travel and explore new places, whether they are thousands of miles away or right in my backyard. I caught the travel bug early on when my family took a vacation to Italy, and I haven’t stopped wanting to see the world since then. While extensive travel is not currently in my budget, I still enjoy taking day and weekend trips to see new places.

– I love to craft, create, and make new things. I am big on DIYs from everything like household decorations to gifts, and I will try to share my favorite ones with you.

-I love Jesus. I grew up in a Christian home and have been a Christian for most of my life. While my faith is very important to me and I may share about it from time to time, I want this blog to be a place where people from any religion or walk of life can come to share in the things I enjoy. If you are not a Christian, I hope that you will not be turned away by the fact that I am, since there are still so many wonderful things we can enjoy together.

– Last thing you should know about me; I love to have fun! I am a child at heart and no matter how old I get, that never changes. I get bored with the same old, same old and do my best to add as much fun and joy to life as possible. I believe knowing how to play and have fun at any age is important in living a fulfilling life. In my opinion, people are their purest sense of self in the midst of play. It is important to let loose and kick back once in a while (or quite often!) to keep life interesting and enjoyable.

Well, that’s me in a nutshell. I hope you will find this blog a place full of good ideas and thoughts that will make you want to come back often. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. See you soon!
